Wednesday Wisdom - World is getting smaller!

THE best part of my job as an executive recruiter is that I get to talk to people from all over the world and I get a "porthole" view into so many different companies. Today alone, I spoke with someone from Scotland, New Zealand and Mexico. Companies are moving production, sites and supply chain all over the world and will continue to do so as in order to be flexible and resilient in the face of future challenges.

Post Covid, estimates say that professional travel could stay reduced by 40-50%. As we have adjusted to this pandemic, technology has replaced the need to travel to the airport and physically be onsite for meetings. In my opinion, technology will never fully replace the trust and value found in a face-to-face meeting but there will be fewer of them. So, connect, connect, connect!
